The kids are fighting over who gets this cartridge, so I would say it is a hit. Works for leap pad or leapster explorer.

I am a traveling teacher and my students love using this as a reward after all their work is done. They are still learning while doing it. You can do so much with this....colors,shapes,words and focus.
Discount Learning Resources Hide-N-Go Fish Toy
This is really cute. I got it for my 1 year old granddaughter. She has a little trouble pulling them out through the flaps. I help her a little bit. When she gets just a little bit older she shouldn't have any problem. She is very interested in it. It is made well and I really like it. I would recommend this.

This is my son's new favorite toy and he plays with it daily for hours. He loves to "catch" the fish and put them back in. It's been a great way to try and teach him about colors, sizes, and more. He also likes to pull the fish apart and put them back together, so it's been great for his fine motor skills. I love the fish bowl and it looks so cute in his room when he's not playing with it. Everyone always comments on it when they see it because it is so adorable and unique!

So first off the Hide-n-Go Fish is a a plastic blue bowl that comes with nine rubber fishes. Kids can put them in and take them out and even snap them together. I was skeptical at how much fun she'd get out of this fish bowl but she actually really likes it. She has even started carrying it around the house with her since her fishes are inside. What is so fun about this bowl is that it has multiple uses. I am working with Olivia on picking out the different colored fishes ("Can you give me a purple fish?"), Picking out a different sized fish ("Which fish is bigger or smaller?"), and Counting the fish. When we are all done we store all the fishes inside it and put it away. I figure too when she is bored with the fishes I can put other things inside and have her pull them out.I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.

Honest reviews on Learning Resources Hide-N-Go Fish Toy
Disclosure: I received product at no charge in exchange for my honest review. Preschoolers are fascinated by fish. Take that curiosity to a new level with Hide-N-Go Fish from Learning Resources. Made for ages 2-4 years, this open-ended educational toy will provide hours of fun imaginative play plus provide opportunities for matching and counting. The fish bowl is opaque, so in order to find out what's inside, the child must reach through the rubberized opening on top. The nine fish inside boast three colors and three sizes, providing learning moments for learning about big, bigger, biggest; small, smaller, smallest; and even small, medium, big. Parents and caregivers can create tactile games by encouraging youngsters to "reach in and pull out a big fish" or "find two fish of the same size." Each fish has a tab on its tail that will also connect to the mouth of each other fish, allowing children to strengthen fine motor skills. It's such a fun learning toy! Learning Resources has tons of great learning materials and educational toys that are durable, thoughtful, and versatile.Lortone 45C Rotary Rock Tumbler Reviews

Being new to rock tumbling, I thought I would try this model. So far I have tumbled 2 batches of rough and have just started my 3rd. The first two produced some very good finished rocks. I'm learning about rock hardness, shape, and size. Currently, I've got petrified wood tumbling. Looking for some great results! This tumbler is able to handle up to 3 inch rocks, mixed with varying smaller sizes. Hopefully, it will hold up for many loads to come.

Machine was in perfect condition and we were polishing our rocks after purchasing our grit elsewhere. Fast delivery and quick transaction. Machine holds a good amount of rocks as well.Best Deals for Lortone 45C Rotary Rock Tumbler
I thought that since this device was larger than the last one I used, that it would have a more powerful motor. There is no way you could fill this 2/3 full with rocks, as described in the product manual, and get it to turn around. I bought a larger rock tumbler for the specific purpose of being able to rocess more rocks at once, and it has failed in t hat expectation.Best AmScope 40X-1000X Student Biological Compound Microscope Deals

Just wish this came with a carrying storage case. The metal construction is very sturdy. The eyepieces are easily removable. The clips are spring mounted enabling ease of positioning the slide. Adjustable hole disk has several size holes for less or more light to get through. Comes with batteries as well as a plug-in power unit. Another switch for brighting/lessing of light. The mechanical piece that comes with it does not have instructions, however with a small amount of guess work, you can mount it on the table. The viewing is fantastic as far as I'm concerned. the large knobs are for greater amounts of movements, the smaller ones for more accurate detailed viewing. Now I'm getting spoiled by this microscope in that I'm getting into the habit of collecting whatever I want to look at in minute viewing. I'm quite satisfied by what I'm doing and what I'm seeing at the microscopic level and maybe one of these days, get serious enough to become an amateur scientist (if there is such a thing). This is the next step up from the "toys"! Just one thing though, make sure you order the extra accessories and tools so you can make more slides and other experiments for viewing. Happy trails!

This was a wonderful, heavy-duty scope. We've looked at so much under it already. My grandson thinks this is the grandest thing in the world. Maybe it'll cause him to be a research scientist someday. WELL worth the money!!!!!!!Honest reviews on AmScope 40X-1000X Student Biological Compound Microscope
The microscope seems really fine, the kids were excited by it. The only complaint is the smell of mildew or mold that was inside of the box. I live in a dry climate and I believe the scope came from a coastal climate where everything is wet so probably the people who pack the box are used to the smell but we are not. Possibly the box needs some silica gel added to it to remove any moisture (and therefore the smell) that is in the box?Discount VTech - Disney Princess - Carriage Laptop
I bought this for my 4 1/2 yr. old daughter for Christmas. My six year old daughter has the magic wand laptop (which I would recommend as well) and her sister wanted one too so I bought this one. It is just as fun as the other with lots of learning games. My girls like the music the best, but enjoy the spelling, matching and counting games as well. It is also fairly easy to navigate through the games. I would not recommend this for a younger three year old, closer to age four and older seem to be able to play more independently with it, and actually understand the games. I appreciate how sturdy it is! Definately built to last. We really enjoy using these in the car for long trips, even my seven year old son loves them. My daughter took this to preschool for show and tell and all the kids were totally mesmerized with Cinderella (who appears on the mirror). It has been a big hit!!

This educational toy is also great fun. My 4 yr-old-granddaughter could understand the directions herself and play for hours (and that's saying a lot) She doesn't feel left out when her older brother uses the family computer. She carries her computer with her everywhere and even tucks it it bed with her and her favorite doll.Best Deals for VTech - Disney Princess - Carriage Laptop

This toy is WONDERFUL! Both of my little girls love it! Guess what ---I love it too, and I'm a grown woman (lol)! I played with it for a long time, right before presenting it to my little girl for Christmas. I (and my girls) especially like the hollogram Cinderella, that disappears & reappears. Cool! Also, thankyou Amazon, for delivering this package quickly! Overall, I was completely pleased with this transaction. I love ordering from Amazon! Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a durable toy and the size is just write for little hands. It was very easy to set u--just plug in with the cord to the computer and the program opened up. Then several steps later, I was able to select my daughter's name (they give options to hear if it's pronounced correctly which is great) and you can select which "emails" and stories to pre-load. My 2 year-old loved how it says her name and giggles every time. But she didn't seem too interested in playing with it--her bigger brother (3 1/2) took it and pushed tons of buttons and played with it for almost 25-30 min straight. I did try to program it so it could say some other names for the email options for their grandparents (who are from a different country) and it didn't have the right options for that. So if you have a non-traditional name you may find it can't incorporate that word/name. Overall it's a cute game but I found the window where the stories, etc. display way too small. And with all the fancy, color gadgets these days it looks and play a bit dated. But on the other hand you don't have to worry about it breaking! I could see this coming in handle for a car ride perhaps? I do like that the volume slide has 2 options and the lowest one is pretty low, so you wouldn't have to deal with the annoying sounds in the car.
The process to customize took about 20 minutes and was pretty straightforward (it requires that you download a LeapFrog program to your computer). I only wish that you could customize with more than one child's name because I have two girls who both use it.
This toy is entertaining and has a few educational components too. I especially like the ABC setting where you press a letter and it tells you both the sound and a word or two that start with that letter.
I really want to rate it higher but I am afraid that after using it for less than a week, the screen has developed some distortion which is really unfortunate.
The LEAPFROG MY OWN STORY TIME PAD is a great idea ... a tablet-like device for smaller children. The TIME PAD is ruggedly built with a durable plastic housing that is remarkably lightweight (small children should have no problem handling the device) ... quite simply, it is designed to be dropped and stepped on. The TIME PAD's face features a "press-pad" keyboard with the alphabet, some buttons at the bottom that function like an adult tablet device (including one with the ever present "mail" icon and some additional "fun" buttons incorporated into the Scout and friends characters. The keyboard and buttons are completely covered/sealed to provide ample protection from even heavy liquid splashes (but not submersion). A small mono-chromatic rectangular "screen", designed to give the appearance of an open book, should physically dominate the face of the device, but it does not. What dominates the face of the TIME PAD is the iconic LeapFrog animated animals and the book graphic surrounding the screen. This crowding of graphics only makes the small screen appear even smaller. The size of the screen also crowds what's being displayed which is further compounded by the large mono-chromatic pixilation. The stories and graphics appear to be squeezed into the small space and I found it unpleasantly distracting. This may be problematic considering the manufacturer states the device is targeted to children as young as 2 years ... an age in which "big and bold" presentations seem more appropriate.
While the physical presentation of the TIME PAD might be in need of some tweaking, the variety of content for this devices and its customization is of the LeapFrog quality I normally expect. Right out of the box, the TIME PAD can be connected to LeapFrog's website via home computer for customization. Parents can input the child's name and personal preferences (color and foods) to create a device that specifically caters to child (it will even address the child by name when the TIME PAD is turned on). Stories, songs and email can also be directly loaded from the website to the TIME PAD to create an entertaining environment suitable for the child. I thought some of the activities might be a little too advanced for a 2 year old, but I am usually surprised how quickly the kids of today figure things out at such an early age. With the age range for this toy going up to 5 years of age, it should cater to a wide variety of learning abilities ... I am hoping LeapFrog expands the downloadable content selection to keep content fresh and engaging as the child grows.
I really think LeapFrog has the right idea in the creation of the MY OWN STORY TIME PAD ... giving the tots a learning toy that parallels the tablet devices they see everyone else using. Unfortunately, even though the applications on the TIME PAD are excellent, I believe the product's physical hinders its overall quality. The lack of an aesthetically-pleasing screen is a distraction that creates a more difficult learning environment. Here's hoping a larger screen is offered in future versions of MY OWN STORY TIME PAD.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Having two daughters who are both growing up with a wide variety of LeapFrog devices, I have never questioned or failed to appreciate the impressive innovation that LeapFrog continually exhibits with its product line ... my girls are immersed in playing with all things LeapFrog. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The LeapFrog My Own Story Time Pad is not only cute, but it's easy to use for adults to be able to sit down with their toddlers as they explore their new toy. Learning the "how to's" for this product was a breeze and I was able to help my niece use this new and exciting toy with ease. The "key's" are a great size for little fingers. Understanding the narrator and viewing the screen were both clear and entertaining. Being able to customize this with a child's name is a great touch, giving each child more reason to interact and learn as they play along with this highly entertaining game.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for LeapFrog My Own Story Time Pad (Purple)
My toddler likes this toy, but would rather play with the Leapster Explorer or Leappad Explorer. Would still recommend this one for younger children because they can operate it without help and it's less expensive than the others.
