Being new to rock tumbling, I thought I would try this model. So far I have tumbled 2 batches of rough and have just started my 3rd. The first two produced some very good finished rocks. I'm learning about rock hardness, shape, and size. Currently, I've got petrified wood tumbling. Looking for some great results! This tumbler is able to handle up to 3 inch rocks, mixed with varying smaller sizes. Hopefully, it will hold up for many loads to come.

I thought that since this device was larger than the last one I used, that it would have a more powerful motor. There is no way you could fill this 2/3 full with rocks, as described in the product manual, and get it to turn around. I bought a larger rock tumbler for the specific purpose of being able to rocess more rocks at once, and it has failed in t hat expectation.
