I bought this toy as a gift for an autistic person. They absolutely loved it! Not only did they seem enchanted by the colors and motion, but it has lasted almost a year without being broken. The person I bought it for is actually an adult but has the brain function of a 3 year old. So when an item lasts a year within her care with frequent use, then the product was well made. She not only the mesmerized by the item. I sometimes find myself zoning out on it from time to time. I imagine this gift would be good for anyone, children and adults alike. It could occupy the eye of a child and could be used as a way to redirect their attention. For an adult, this could be used well at a desk or work space. A pleasant and colorful way to distract yourself from the computer every 20 minutes so you can relax your mind by zoning out. The item pictured is NOT what we received. We did receive something 'similar' but not nearly as cool. Had I known I would NEVER have ordered this product. It was not worth my time to return, so we kept it, but we were VERY disappointed.
VTech Infant Learning Touch and Learn Storytime Review
I bought this for our 18 month old son for Christmas. He has loved it from the first time he saw it. He loves books and being read to and I thought this would be a good toy for him since he can control the story and repeat things/functions. It reads the story to you, there are multiple songs to each book and you learn objects, animals, the alphabet, etc. It gives a book loving kid an opportunity to read books by himself and learn. Our son can identify every letter of the alphabet and is close to saying his ABC's he absolutely loves this toy! I highly recommend this product.
As a side note, when my husband saw this he said, "I'd have never bought that!" He was surprised at how much enjoyment he's gotten out of it.

I saw this product online at Walmart. The reviews were great but the only place I was able to find it was at Amazon. I purchased this for my grandson who has just turned two. It comes with interchangeable books that store neatly in the back compartment. It has a story theme and also helps toddlers identify objects. This is one of the best gifts I could have bought. My grandson loves this toy. He can turn it on himself, turn the pages easily, and use the toucher to hear words, sounds, and music. On the downside, he can't actually click the books into place, and the string attached to the toucher seems a bit too short. Also, book storage in the back of the unit is difficult to manage. I got this for my 19 month old daughter who loves books for Christmas and it has been a big hit! It is really cute and has great learning features. She caught on how to use the little pointer thing right away. I love how the books store in the back of the toy and you don't have to keep up with them. I would defintely recommend this. These blocks are beautifully crafted, heirloom quality, and will last generations. Although expensive, you get what you pay for. Edges are slightly rounded, paint colors are bright and the finish is tough and durable. The patterns and colors engage my 18 month old grand-daughter in gleeful play. The animal theme is of interest to her and she loves playing with the various animal blocks. We name the animals and make the appropriate animal sounds. The 3 year old was a little young, but still participated and got excited to see some of the results from the experiments. The 5 year old continues to ask me when I'm going to get him another kit of mysteries to solve. Involved, but great quality family time!

Got this as a gift. It is very nicely detailed and quite strong. Probably not the most anatomically correct but still serves as a good table piece. The light inside is gimmicky but pretty cool. Overall a good item for kids!
Skill Drill Flash Cards: Sight Words - Level 2 Reviews
These cards are a great tool to teach children to read. On the one side of the cards there are individual words while on the other side there are interesting sentences including the respective words from the other side. I was surprised to see plenty of words within the sentences which were not included on the word-side of the cards, but they may have been on the Level 1 cards, which we did not use.
My son (5 years old) was quickly able to read all of the sentences without error--it helps to work on 20 cards at a time and to gradually increase the number of cards used in one sitting.
Students enjoy working with these as five minute quick practice.
