i got these thinking they would be fun and safe for a 1 yr old. They smell unlike mega blok, little people builder or Lego Duplo. The stacking is hard because the plastic deforms. My kid by far prefers the above mentioned brand. I also felt uncomfortable about the smell. Smell means outgasisng of some sort of chemical. I do not recommend these. I recommend little people builder playsets as a start or mega blok maxi.

I agree with one of the other reviewers that the blocks have a lasting odor (it's a rubbery smell, not offensive at all), even after a thorough washing and airing out, but it is not so bothersome that I did not buy more! My grandson is 20 months old and loves blocks right now these blocks are his favorite for the interlocking type...I think the size it just right. The animals are adorable, too! I got the "train set" as well but some parts are too small as he still puts things in his mouth so I put those away 'til he's older. I got the set with a larger number of blocks, as yet another reviewer mentioned, as the amount with this set is not enough!

I cant express just how much I love these blocks!!!!

I have 4 children whom have all loved building toys ,So we have tons of different types of blocks. My youngest, 17 months, has an assortment of Lego Duplos, MegaBloks, etc. Those blocks are great fun. However they pose the hazard of being beamed in the head by falling blocks when the little ones build sky scrapers and other creations, that always seem to go straight up for some reason, and knock them over. After all, this simply has to happen, knocking everything down after building is part of the fun right? I cant tell you over the years just how many block head bonks we have had.

These blocks are thick rubber. They have alittle more weight to them than regular lego type blocks, but they do not hurt. I have also found them to be more manageable for little ones as they are a little more pliable and don't require such precise placement to attach.

Do not let the "Mini" in the title for this product dissuade you, as you can tell from the ad photo, these are Megablok sized blocks. In fact, that is another plus to these, they are compatible with the Megabloks and my kiddos use them together. The regular size Edushape blocks are, I believe, very large blocks. I will have to check those out and see if they are compatible with the kids adventure jumbo blocks we have.

We have 4 different sets of these blocks and I will definitely purchase more. I highly recommend these blocks for anyone with little ones, they are just all around better blocks for them.

Melissa & Doug Rattle Rumble Push Toy Review

This is a FABULOUS walker. It is sturdy and very easily assembled. My 31" tall, 22 lb. grandson is "getting ready" to walk. This push toy does not tip over when he pulls himself up to stand (and it did not tip when I pushed down on the handle). The "rattle and rumble" sounds (not too loud) motivate him to keep walking as he pushes this brilliantly colored toy around. Perhaps best of all, the toy is just light enough for him to change directions easily as he walks, giving him an added sense of empowerment! He loves it, and we love watching him use it! It is an award winning toy (Oppenheim Toy AwardBest Toy Award (Platinum), and SNAP award (Special Needs Adaptable Product).

I purchased this push toy for my son's first birthday. I wanted one that was wooden and durable, but also economical. If money grew on trees, I would have purchased a top-of-the-line one from HABA, as they make beautiful, high-quality toys, but since I didn't want to put a second mortgage on the house, I opted for this Melissa and Doug variety.

Overall, I think it's a great toy. The downsides are as follows:

✔ It's not completely wooden (The yellow wheels are made of a pretty chintzy looking plastic.)

✔ I noticed a few very minor, very superficial nicks in the wood upon taking it out of the box.

✔ There is some assembly required, and it takes a bit of muscle grease to screw some of the parts together. (Take this comment with a grain of salt, as I am not very handy.)

The upsides:

✔ It works! My son is nowhere near walking. He can stand while holding onto something, and he's just starting to cruise. I couldn't believe it when he grabbed hold of this toy and started wheeling it around the house like a maniac, all by himself!

✔ It's very stable. Given my son's wobbly legs, I kept worrying that he would fall flat on his face or tumble over the toy while trying to maneuver it. Instead, when his legs gave out on him, the toy didn't tip or fly out from under him. He just went down to his knees for a moment, and then tried again. The toy is very well-designed for unsteady pre-walkers.

✔ It's attractive. I love the bright color scheme.

✔ The sound it makes is not at all grating. It's a rather muted rattling sound.

✔ It's fun! My son loves it. He just laughs and laughs while wheeling it around.

Highly recommended for people who like nice wooden toys but can't always afford them. This is a good middle-of-the-road push toy. Durable, stable, safe, reliable and fun.

Good for a crawler since he/she can roll the separate cylinders. Good for toddlers because it gives them confidence. It makes noise as it rolls, so even a three-year old loves it.

These are great for preschool or kindergarten-age children. They are small and have a carrying handle and can be easily opened and closed. I especially like them because they have airholes. It is important to me to teach the children to be humane and not kill the bugs, but study them and then let them go. I looked at some other bug jars and there were no airholes. The magnifying glasses on these work good as well. I'm very pleased with them and the 5 year olds I bought them for are happy with them.

This bug holder is just like an index card holder. The lid snaps shut, and was difficult at first for my 2 1/2 year old. But he figured it out after a couple days and now has no problem opening and closing it. The bug has to be in just the right place in the container to really see it well with the bugnoculars, but since it is small, it is easy to see the bug from all sides. We've caught lots of bugs and it has become my child's must-have accessory when roaming the back yard.

This ia a great product...it is sturdy and the magnification is just right. The size is perfect for little hands and the hinged lid makes it easy and safe to capture bugs and spiders! I am going to get more for all grands 2 and over! Great value!

The Bugnoculars were a great idea for my turning-two grandson. We caught a bug for him right away, and he understood immediately that he could look at it through the clear plastic case or down through the bugnoculars. So glad I found this!

I was going to put this puzzle together and frame it. However, I had so much fun putting it together that I decided to keep it so I do it again. It a 500 piece puzzle that has so much information on the map which makes it educational and a lot of fun. The pieces are very sturdy. Love it!!!

I bought this for my 80 year old mother. She loved it. She loves to put together jig saw puzzles. This was fun one for her. She left it out on the table afterwards so she could keep looking at it. It is a really big puzzle so you will need a large table for it. She used the dining room table.

I bought this puzzle yesterday and finished it with some friends. The dimensions are big (almost 1m x 0.5m), the details on the pieces are very good where you can see the number of interstates as well as big cities. The quality of the material itself is not that perfect. The puzzle by itself is not that hard for people that are familiar with puzzles. It would take around 6 hours for an average human to complete. I would definitely recommend it for someone who is trying to learn to name the states.

Honest reviews on Maps International USA 500-Piece Puzzle

Arrived with good packaging and in good time. Box was in excellent condition and puzzle lived up to all expectations.

I had been searching for a puzzle like this for a while to give as a gift. Similar puzzles were designed for children with fewer pieces, but this one was ideal for an adult.

This puzzle was a lot bigger then I was expecting, it's about the size of a normal 2000 pc. It was very easy to put together and only took about 1.5 hours. Some pegs were bent but I just bent them back. This would make a great picture for the kids room or a classroom puzzle as a teaching guide. The pc. are very big and you won't have to worry about losing them.
