I purchased the inchworms, the inchworm rulers, and the multi-sized worms along with Leo Lioni's inch by inch to compliment the Sid the science kid non-standard measurement exploration. My three year old and I spent a week exploring the different kinds of measurements. These tools were fantastic! We used the inchworms to measure all kinds of things, even mommy and daddy. My daughter loves to measure with her worms! I think these tools really helped hammer in the concept in a fun and interesting way. Bonus, we got to use the tub of worms for our estimation exercise. I homeschool my children and ordered these to help the kids transition from non-standard to standard units of measurement. The "inch" bars are wonderful tools for a child just starting out. They are a bit bendy, so I'm sure they will snap as soon as someone really tries to bend them, for for daily, general use, they should hold up just fine. I wish they came individually. I kept three and donated the rest to a local kindergarten classroom. m

These stickers are great to put on graded papers at school. They are very motivational and perfect to give a few words of encouragement to my students.
I use them when my child has been good at school and/or on the bus each day and keep them in my car.
They DO motivate her to behave (as intended) and I just stick them on her hand when she gets off the bus, so the other kids and the driver see, which she loves!
My students are eager to see which sticker they are going to get next .
For an extra bonus, when they really outdo themselves, I let them choose!

I was disappointed to see that these stickers are small (incentive chart sized) even though I purchased them to put on papers. My students will have to squint to see the motivation! Description said a variety but it's really just 12 sheets of circular and square 3/8 inch designs...not to mention the time it will take to peel them off the sheets.Best Deals for Eureka Motivational Sticker Book
These are very colorful and bright. BUT...They are mostly 1/4" to 1/2" sizevery, very small. They only stick well on plain paper.I use them when my child has been good at school and/or on the bus each day and keep them in my car.

After buying the train set I wanted to add more cars to the track so I bought a couple more cars, this one included. I was under the impression it ran on its own like the train but it doesn't it has to be pushed. It would be nice if they were motorized like the train that comes in the full set so my toddler doesn't have to push it on her own. I purchased this for my daughter when she was approx. 16 months and very new to walking. At first she was somewhat frustrated that she couldn't get the duck to make the repetitive flapping noise, but once she learned how to push the duck straight (not as easy as it may appear) she had loads of fun with it. She is now 22 months and still reaches for this toy at least once a day.
Fifteen years ago, I bought my daughter a little push clown from the same company. It was her favorite toy & was passed onto her brother. With heavy playing by 2 children it never lost any of its paint or parts. It's something we are saving for grandchildren one day.

My daughter loves this toy. She received it as a gift on her first birthday, 7 months ago. The leather flapping shoes have been worn out! They are curved from all the walking. She plays with it every day. Its my favorite, as well. I couldn't be happier. Every child is different, and yours might not be interested in push toys. If you want to try one, this one is very durable and has suffered much abuse, without a single spot of paint chipped at all. Not very satisfied. The duck is very cute but does not make a flapping noise. I was looking for a flapping duck since my son loved a similar duck push toy that he played with at a friend's house. This is a must have for any toddler! I bought one for my brothers triplets who were 1 1/2 years old at the time. They loved it! One would push & the other 2 would chase after it. This little "drum" was a gift for my 5 month old daughter who was getting into slapping things with her hands. She loves it. I love it. The great thing about it is it has a soft pillow top and sides, but the weird thing is, it doesn't actually play drum noises. It plays two tunes in piano. The cool thing is, it responds to the slightest tap, has a low and high setting and an off switch. Each tap gives you a note and they create a song that way. It's a lot of fun, my husband and I both enjoy it :) I recommend it for a young baby. Even if they chew on it, it's fine because it's soft.

my son doesn't love it. He will pick just about any toy over it. We got this because, at 6 months, he loves to bang on things. I think he passes this toy over, however, because it IS so sensitive to the slightest touch, as another review states. There's no "cause and effect." I thought my son would like to bang on this because he loves banging in general. I bought it for him when he was 6 months. He pretty much ignored it until the past week or two (now 8 mos). He is not using it as a drum, though, he puts it on its side and rolls it and it makes noise (he is now crawling everywhere). Cute and Soft for my boys first drum. He can gently tap it and it makes a noise to his delight. It does get kind of annoying especially since it plays actual songs but obviously your baby isn't going to hit the drum in rhythm. I bought this map for my son's 5th birthday. My husband was the one who suggested we get it. At first I wasn't so sure about spending $20 on an interactive map, however, it is really cool. My son loves playing with it and learning all about the states. I know with this map he soon will be able to name all the states and capitals! That is 3rd grade curriculum!

For the amount of money this is very poorly put together. Because it is so large they have it assembled like a game board. The problem is that where it is "pieced" together when you lay it down the sticker covering is very loose. Because small children have to "Push" on the board for it to read it will not take much to puncture the covering and in a very short amount of time you will have a hole in the map.... Whoever designed this forgot about how young kids use the "touch" portion of the game. Being a mom of 7..... just be advised that this will in time be ruined....and a waist of your money... I love the rest of the items that they sell so far. I am also a home educator so I can appreciate well thought out products and see the ones made strictly to make money (and make it fast)... We got this as a Christmas gift for out 4.5 year old son. It's fun, but very poorly made. The map is easy to fold the wrong direction and as soon as you fold it the wrong way it tears. The tag pin also leaves marks on the map if pushed too hard. I bought this cause i thought it was great idea to teach the children different things about different places.. Well when i purchased the map... i didn't know i needed the Tag reader. It didn't come with it.. and it didn't metion that information when i bought it so needless to say we haven't been able to use it yet. Grandpa and I started collecting Take-n-Play the year it came out (2010), when our first grandson was about 2 1/2. It was really a high quality line of trains, vehicles and playsets at the time, and we believed they'd be be durable enough for him to enjoy with his own kids some day. They've provided us with so many enjoyable hours of fun interaction with him! We've loved seeing his creativity and imagination blossom as he's developed different adventures and scenarios! He turned 5 in April and still looks forward to visiting his Sodor land of make believe in our basement; his little brother is 16 months old and it won't be long before he's playing with them too. Unfortunately, the line in general has gone downhill over the past year, so this will be the last year of the collection. At least our younger grandchild will have the first few years of the collection to play with, before Fisher-Price started cutting corners. Hopefully when Grandpa and I are no longer around one day, their early memories of playtime with us will be as warm as ours already are, and they'll be able to share more special memories with the next generation!
