As a clinician, I would often have parents hold a blanket on one end while I held it on the other end in order to swing and cradle the child. This would often increase expressive language, listening skills as well as other sensory needs and helped my child organize his/her body but often another adult was not around or our arms would get tired and we would easily loose focus on treatment from working so hard on swinging the child. I can't wait to try out this swing in place of having to have two people hold a blanket to swing a child. This will help me focus more on my treatment. I also like the material very soft and sturdy. The dark color helps block out some light so that the child isn't overstimulated with light. I would even recommend for parents of children with sensory needs, autism spectrum disorder or ADHD to get this swing installed in their home, so the child could use it when he/she needs to get their body/senses organized.
