I was a bit worried when we bought this as I was concerned it would not be used or it might be used as a game instead of an educational toy to help with reading. I had nothing to worry about! This was bought for my daughter who is 5 for her bday and both my 3 year old son and her always fighting for it! It's definitely worth the money and I have ALWAYS enjoyed leapfrog toys. We have most of them!!!
It not only can be used to help with reading but also has audio so the child can hit a "button" on the page and it reads the page for you. Also, you can use the Tag Pen to select the pictures on the page and they all say something. Pretty neat tool!!

This book is great for my daughter but also for me... My daughter can now read her Dora book without me! This is such a smart and fun book!

My son and daughter both really enjoy this book. It pretty closely follows a television episode of Dora, which I think has made the reading all the more fun. This has really helped my daughter explore her numbers and letters, and is one of her top three favorite Tag books.

My 3 (almost 4) year old daughter played with this for about 30 minutes at a time 4 or 5 days in a row. That was a few weeks ago, and she hasn't gone back to it, but I think it will resurface at some point. She spent the first couple days just touching the pictures getting them to make sounds or say little phrases. Then she started using the pen to actually "read" the words and play some games. This can be fun and/or educational, depending on how she uses it.
