This Geoboard is perfectly fine, but do notice that you are purchasing an 11x11 which means it has a gazillion pegs. Okay, not really a gazillion, but know that most math activities for young children are designed for a Geoboard that is a 5 peg by 5 peg (25 total). (Silly me, assumed the 11x11 was how BIG the board was, not the number of pegs...) Quality-wise, this is perfectly fine, while somewhat thin, and I assume will be useful some day. In the meanwhile, off to buy a 5x5...

My daughter has loved this math toy for 3 years now (age 3 to 6 so far), she's creating more complex designs and games each year. If you google "geoboard activities" you'll find plenty of guided lessons and games for free. The best part of this geoboard is that "silly bands" can be used in place of the rubber bands! Unfortunately at one point my daughter stepped on the board and it cracked along the center, but not all the way through. I pressed the seam together and fixed it with clear packing tape.

I remember playing with these in elementary school, but they were made of wood and nails. This product isn't a flimsy plastic, but it's not really thick, either. It should hold up okay as long as it isn't abused. It comes with some rubber bands, but not as many as I expected. I wish I had ordered extras.

My sons love geoboards. The multi-use boards allow my 5-year-old to create pictures (of houses, diggers, and anything he imagines) while my 3-year-old practices his shapes. These work well as quiet works that can travel along to appointments. Great quality and plenty of rubber bands included.

I read some of the reviews on this board, but apparently not enough. The board is smaller than I expected, but not a problem. My kids love the 5x5 geoboard we have so I figured Id get a bigger one. They love this more! I was planning on using it for my 3 yo in her Letter of the Week curriculum, but she has just as much fun putting all the rubber bands on. There are plenty of bands that are supplied with the board. My older kids love to make patterns and shapes. Great for all ages!
