The child traces, looks at, and says the phonetic sound of each letter at the same time. This provides auditory, visual, and tactile inputs, which really helps a child remember. When your child is through with these, you can sell them and get at least half your money back. Remember, though, this material is part of a sequence of materials and activities for learning to read. Used in isolation, parents will probably be disappointed in the results. You need to understand how phonics gets a child started, the entire sequence, and where to go next.
