A good product. The magnet is actually just a plastic form with a small magnet in each end. One north, one south. They have good strength and the "magnet" has a handle that makes it easy for a kid to hold. The kit includes a lot of small pick up pieces that can get lost. The magnet can pick up all the included pieces and then some.

This is a great learning tool. I gave this magnet set to my 6 year old nephew and he loved it! He figured out on his own that only certian sides of a magnet will attract. He loved being able to grab ahold of the big magnet and pick up many different types of objects.

I got this for my 4 year old granddaughter and she loves it! It was one of many birthday gifts but its the one she plays with the most. It's so great for curious minds & I love the fact that the magnet is strong & that it comes with many objects to experiment with.
