We have long enjoyed our regular set of Do-A-Dots, so we were excited to give these a try. Unfortunately, jewel-toned colors are just basic colors with jewel names. After our first use, the felt circle tip fell off of one of our markers, and I have tried and tried but can't get it back in. Hopefully the others do not follow. I like the smaller dots, but they are different from the standard sponge tip--much less durable!

Nothing is ever completely washable... just like these paints! (Crayola advertises this as well and their products don't come out of everything either)

I have 4 year old twins who love these. They first started using them in their preschool class. I like them because they dry fast, are easy to use, last a long time, and don't make a big mess-painting without paint brushes. The ABC do-a-dot alphabet book is a great addition to this set and makes learning letters fun. I'm buying another set for a Christmas gift for a 2 year old.

Horrible Staining product. So upset it was used in my house. Be careful of the paintings your children bring home if they have used this paint. If the even get a drop of two of water they will bleed and stain!

We love our regular Do-a-Dots, and found various coloring pages/printables online that used smaller do-a-dots, so we ordered this mini package. The description of the item isn't terribly detailed, and it was hard to tell if these markers did indeed have a smaller diameter, as they are the same size (and the lid is the same size) as the regular markers. I was pleased to discover that they do in fact make smaller "dots." My main gripe with this particular set is the colors, which aren't quite what we were expecting. The simple bold colors of the Rainbow Do-a-Dot set are much nicer. In this set, for instance, the "ruby red" is not a bright red but sort of a magenta.

My kids (5 and 2.5) love these but the younger one needs to be watched when using them. I bought them b/c I thought they would travel easily and be easy clean up. Well, the pink paint stained my kitchen table and all the paints stained the kids hands and it took a few washes to get all the color off their hands. Also there are little tiny sponges on top of the bottles that can be removed. My 2 year old took one off one of the bottles before I realized it. I would recommend the paints for older kids. My 5 year old loves them and uses them well. My two year old enjoys them too but need to be supervised while using them.
