I was eager to find this kind of a keyboard that would be 'child-friendly' it is ! my two year old granddaughter, who loves music, can find different tones and beats easily. The microphone is a plus for her 'performing'. The construction seems excellent, the surface cleanable and the size makes for easy storage. As she learns more about its operation I'm sure the toy will be enjoyed for more than a few years.

I bought this keyboard for my almost 3 year old son. He is always playing the piano we have at home and I thought this would be a nice alternative for him. This keyboard has some cool features: it lets you record 10 second samples of your playing. It also lets you experiment with different sounds, tempos, rhythms, and beats. Not bad at all for a toddler. The only downside to this is you can't play full chords on the keyboard. If you press more then 2 or 3 keys at the same time not all of them play. So, while this is definitely better then a toy, and awesome for a toddler, it is somewhat limited if you're looking to actually learn to play music. That being said, for the price, it's a great buy and a nice step to a real instrument.

We bought this for my 2.5 year old. He enjoys playing on it and it's fairly intuitive. I like that there are set/programmed songs as well as the option to just do 'free' play on the keyboard. What's interesting is that whenever my 6 year old nephew comes over, he'll play with it quite a bit and loves to talk in the microphone so great for a range of ages.

Has both real and electronic rhythm and melody potential. I hate the tinny sound of most baby toddler toys, this one has a deeper sound and a good range. And the rhythms, especially reggae, are real.

Microphone is good for younger kids too. Only wish it had a little stand, but we can make one easily. Came quickly with regular mail.

Bought this for my 3-year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. It plays MANY songs and she can play music along with it or create her own. She breaks it out when her friends come over and they pretend they are a band.
