I bought this keyboard for my almost 3 year old son. He is always playing the piano we have at home and I thought this would be a nice alternative for him. This keyboard has some cool features: it lets you record 10 second samples of your playing. It also lets you experiment with different sounds, tempos, rhythms, and beats. Not bad at all for a toddler. The only downside to this is you can't play full chords on the keyboard. If you press more then 2 or 3 keys at the same time not all of them play. So, while this is definitely better then a toy, and awesome for a toddler, it is somewhat limited if you're looking to actually learn to play music. That being said, for the price, it's a great buy and a nice step to a real instrument.Best Deals for My First Kawasaki 37 Key Musical Keyboard
We bought this for my 2.5 year old. He enjoys playing on it and it's fairly intuitive. I like that there are set/programmed songs as well as the option to just do 'free' play on the keyboard. What's interesting is that whenever my 6 year old nephew comes over, he'll play with it quite a bit and loves to talk in the microphone so great for a range of ages.Honest reviews on My First Kawasaki 37 Key Musical Keyboard
Has both real and electronic rhythm and melody potential. I hate the tinny sound of most baby toddler toys, this one has a deeper sound and a good range. And the rhythms, especially reggae, are real.Microphone is good for younger kids too. Only wish it had a little stand, but we can make one easily. Came quickly with regular mail.
