As I was saying, this is a great toy for teaching a Child the alphabet, Uppercase and lowercase letters and also for teaching them some pictures of some common things in life. It's also very interesting and a good idea that they have certain sides of the blocks which are textured so that the child can also feel Feel the letters Instead of only seeing what a picture of the letter looks like on the blocks. The blocks also come with 10 extra letters, which makes it easy for creating words Instead of only using only the basic 26 blocks.I did not read the description well enough the first time to realize that it included these... I was very pleasantly surprised :-)

These blocks rock. I bought them for my 10-month old and while she doesn't pay too much attention yet to the letting and pictures, she loves to bang them together and throw them around. The only thing about them that I noticed is their smell. They have a very new wooden scent to them that I'm sure will go away in time. It's not offensive at all and still would not deter me from purchasing more of these. I'm very satisfied with these blocks.

I would not recommend this product for a child who likes to chew on things. My son who is 10 months chewed a chunk off of the block. He has played with them for awhile but now has 4 teeth and chews on everything. Thankfully I was with him otherwise he would have swallowed the wood which could have lead to a serious problem.

These wooden blocks are just what I was looking for. The are larger than your standard block so they stack easily, but my daughter's small hands can still grab them easily. The edges are smooth. My daughter has been playing with them for a while and no signs of splintering on the blocks. The quality is excellent! This set of blocks is a bargain! This toy is great for small babies just starting to grab things all the way up to children learning the letters and how to spell!

These blocks are wonderful. The illustrations are so cute. The wood feels smooth and durable. They have upper and lower case letters and beautiful ornamentation. I am 100% pleased with them and my son likes them a lot too!
