I purchased the V-Reader for my nephews fourth birthday and he ADORES it. It's great because he uses it during the day to play games and we read together at night. Awesome toy, can't believe I took soo long to buy it for him! I am certain a child 2+ can appreciate it. Well worth the money. One tip -don't go the battery route! Spent 15 on batteries in one week until I realized there is an adapter. What's more is that the adapter is just $20 so worth it for home play.

Received this as a Christmas gift looked over it many times at the store thinking it wasn't worth it boy were we wrong! My son plays on it for 15 minutes a time by himself and can navigate through the menus, play games he loves this. Bunch of free games for registering it, it has a SD card slot for storing digital downloads. Excellent toy for a toddler.

I bought this for my almost 2 year old when his obsession with our electronics became meltdown city. He loves this reader and is able to use it on his own surprisingly well. Can't wait to pick up a few new books for him.

I bought this for my son because he likes video games and he also likes to be read to but I was very dissapointed to find out that he didnt like it! He felt that he was doing homework when I asked him if he wanted to play with this toy. He would be like: how long do I have to do this for? or do I have to?

got this for my son's 3rd birthday and he loves it soo much. I dont regret going broke for it lol. Well worth the buy. My son slept with it the 1st night cause he loves it so much hahaha. cheapies delivered it real fast! Excellent service :)

my only disappointment is that i thought it had a "writing app" like the other vtech v reader with the solid cover. Otherwise we love it.
