I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this critter box. The heavy duty plastic container appears to be strong enough to withstand the tough "abuse" likely to be given by a gung ho nature enthusiast who is 5 years old or older. My children enjoyed catching and observing insects, frogs, and other critters before letting them go free. This critter shack is perfect for that, and would be very useful to homeschooling families who love to include hands on science. It has a built in handle that provides an easy way to tote your captured specimens while hunting for more. Another feature of this critter shack is the water tight base which allow you to fill the container with water so that you have a means for collecting such critters as tadpoles and minnows. My kids loved catching critters and this critter container provides just what is needed to do so with ease.

This has been an excellant little bug house for my sons who is a bug fanatic. He catches bugs in here daily. He loves that you can watch them from all sides and the cover snaps on well. I do have to be sure the cover is snapped on sometimes because he doesn't always get it on tight.

this went to our 6 year old grandson, who LOVED it...He opened first the tool set that goes with it...and wasn't quite sure what that was...we had him continue to opening his gifts, and then it all came together and it was OUTSIDE with it! This was GREAT, educational, the fold-outs were soo interesting for young people and he referred to it after catching his first centipede! GREAT product. The "bug house" looked "kid"...but not "little kid"...great job on the whole set! We're going to tell everyone about the product..and about your company! THANK YOU!

This was a little expensive, but I knew my bug loving kids would like them. As expected, they love them. It's nice that they are so easy to use for kids the top isn't on there tight and with one hand they can easily take the top off, put their "find" in and shut the top.
