My daughter is in second grade, doing second and thrid grade math, and these are great for helping her working through math problems and really understand the concepts. I wish I had bought them sooner. That said, I'm not nuts about the interlocking feature. Sometimes they are really hard to pry apart.

I bought this for a young daughter gifted in math, and both my kids play with it for fun more than we teach math with it. We use it to demonstrate math concepts along with her Singapore math. We honestly use it more than I thought we would. I'm happy.

My kids use these at school. They are fantastic for teaching borrow and carry as well as visulaizing groups. They helped them to get a feel for their numbers. Recommend highly for kids that stuggle with number manipulations. Sometimes you just have to touch things to understand them.

The blocks are just what I imagined they would be...a great way to teach kids math. The included booklet starts at grade 3 but I've been using the blocks with my kindergarten and first grade students. I would have given 5 stars but a few of the smaller pieces were broken.
