Globe is much prettier than photo. Colors are muted, alignment is almost perfect (all but one small area) and font is easy to read. It is sturdy on axis, rotates smoothly and is light weight which suits my 85 year old father who likes to hold it in his hands when using. The gold color names of the oceans and seas are a little hard to see against the cream background but very pretty. Overall I think it's a good buy.

I am very happy about this globe. I've wanted one for a long time. My family enjoys seeing where other countries are in perspective to the United States. My only problem with the order was that I thought I ordered the blue background globe (shown) and I received the tan background globe. It looks good enough I decided not to try and exchange it.

The coloring on this globe was a key factor in purchasing it. It sits next to my husband's tv watching chair and he uses it frequently. It is a very attractive decorative item as well. However, I do wish the base was just a bit heavier. I would purchase it again.

i bought this globe for my kids to use.when i open the box, i was surprise because it was an antique looking globe.my kids like the one with blue ocean so they can easily tell where there's water.it was a good globe but it was the wrong color.
