Review of Unifix 1-10 Stair

We have one of these to go with our unifix cubes in our homeschool classroom and the kids got lots of use out of it. We never did any formal lessons with it but the kids played (and sometimes still do) with it and it seems to do a great job reinforcing numbers and how numbers represent sums that are larger or smaller than others. It can be tough to teach that eight is twice as big as four without a tool like this.

The children in my preschool class really enjoy this material. Different colors for each quantity allow for control of error. This is a nice supplement to our Montessori materials.

We have been working on using the unifix cubes during math lessons and these have been very helpful. A bit expensive for what you get.

This has helped with grouping and graphing. I wasn't sure how it would help when we first bought it but since we have been using it, my child is getting better with grouping and graphing!
