I understand that this is a budget heart model, but the heart does not even fit on the stand properly, it wobbles a bit, and can easily be knocked off the stand. The paint quality is lower than it appears in the picture, and it is really not useful as a study aid because the picture it comes with that identifies the parts looks very different from the model heart.

Got this for my boyfriend bc he wants to be a cardiologist. It's actually sturdier than I thought. There were a few problems with the paint on the outside, but minimal. The front comes off with some wiggling, and the inside def looks cheap (esp the mitral/tricuspid valves), but it does the trick. Comes with a guide of what's pictured. I'd looked around for other hearts and this one seemed the best value. Also, the stand is made of cheap plastic so don't think it will be a showpiece. Also, mine didn't come with a bolt to keep the bottom in place, so it wiggles. However, he was pleased and it's a good starter heart until you want to shell out $400.

This heart is great. The anatomy is pretty basic, but it serves it's purpose. I am an echocardiography student, and this model sits on my desk, just for a visual. It helps me to more easily visualize the anatomy and understand where things are in relation to one another. For something like that, this heart is perfect and it is a steal for the price! It is a bit wobbly and not the highest quality, but it's held up ok so far!

It isn't super detailed or fancy but for the price it comes with a detachable front so you can see inside and there are little AV valves as well. Great as a quick reference when studying.
