These astronaut boots were ordered online for a teenage daughter who is a little offbeat, fashion-wise. Their appearance in the photo was what she had in mind. However, what the photo doesn't show is that the boots are designed to be worn over shoes, and have NO BOTTOMS. Just little straps. If you wore them outside, they would quickly wear through. Definitely costume, not for repeat wearings. We thought they would have rubber soles, not fabric straps. They are more like spats than boots. They are flimsier than they look. However, they did arrive promptly, and were inexpensive.

My 8 year old wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. We had gotten him the white NASA spacesuit for his birthday, and so for Christmas we got him the boots (M) to go with it. He loves to dress up in the whole costume, and the boots are pretty easy for him to get on and off himself. He usually wears them with his slippers around the house, because they are open on the bottom with straps to go over shoes. The patches are very authentic.

These shoe covers were also very large. I got the child's large for my 7 yr old wears size 12.5 shoe... these were huge on him. These fit over my grown kid's shoe size 8.5. There are 2 bread elastic straps underneath that get destroyed quite easily. But I am able to sew back on. Also, I have washed these a couple of times in cold water on regular wash cycle no problem. A must but if you want the complete astronaut outfit.

I purchased these along with the matching Aeromax Astronaut suit to complete this authentic look. My three year old LOVES them. The boots slip on over regular shoes with an elastic band on the botton. I would say the size small will fit around up to a size 13 toddler foot.
