I bought this and a similar plan toys cutting playset for my kids age 2 and 4 for Christmas. This playset was the biggest hit out of all the presents. The 2 and 4 year old love cutting the fruit and making "food" out of it with their play kitchen and pot set. This one is big enough to not feel like a choking hazard, and easy for the kids to manipulate. I anticipate hours of fun from this one. They seem well made and resemble the fruits enough for my kids to enjoy them.

This fruit set is made from Plan Toy's new "Planwood" which is a composite material. Check out their website for more info on that. I REALLY prefer the former version of this set which was made from solid wood. I am disappointed that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find solid wood Plan Toys.

My toddler loves these. She enjoys slicing the fruit and pretending to eat it. The velcro is strong enough to hold but not too much for a two year old.
