Other than the sharp corners, this toy is ok and very well built. It is just not safe for a wobbly infant. The corner is very sharp. If an infant hits his or her her head on the corner, an open wound is guaranteed.

I agree with another reviewer. The edges are very sharp, but this is a great little toy otherwise. Nothing that a little foam padded corner covers wouldn't fix. All in all, we like it, and feel like it was made well. What's also great is that it opens up, so you can flip the roller coaster around for better storage. We have a 7 month old and a 3year old, and they both enjoy playing with this. Would buy again now that we have it.

We purchased this for our 8 month old. She LOVES this toy. It gets daily use, and there is always something different she is playing with. When her cousins come to visit it seems to be the first toy they play with, its really a nice buy. We shopped around for a while for an activity cube and checked out the other companies, but we chose this one because the price was right, the activities seemed fun, and the design wasn't completely abnoxious as some of the activities cubes were. It has a cute country farm theme to it. The beads are easy enough for an 8 month old, and even the veggies that slide she managed after a few tries. Her favorite is still the windmill and gears, what a cool and educational concept to add. My only issue is minor the apples on the apple orchard don't stay on the best, so we usually store them inside the box. I was really happy with the cube overall, I was pleased with the price point and the activities they offer.

Honest reviews on KidKraft Bead Maze Cube

Our 10 month old really enjoys this toy. She plays with the top bead maze part on it's own & enjoys storing things inside the main box. The house & tree blocks on the top have simply become chew toys and things to put in & out of the box. The design is silly b/c they come off of the top so easy. They havn't been on top as shown since the day she got it but I just consider them to be extra blocks for play. The apples on the side also make good blocks for claping or chewing on. The corners are pointy. She poked herself a few times but nothing serious. IT is a wooden toy & we like that. So far very durable & entertaining.

While the manufacturer's recommended age (and amazon's) is listed at 13 months in the product description I now see an added choking hazard for children under 3 which means I can't be the only person to have an issue. Unfortunately, it isn't just the playing pieces, but the screws and washers that so easily came out that my son decided to chew on. Fortunately, I never leave my son unsupervised because the toy also has sharp edges and paint that chips off. The washer in my son's mouth was the last straw though...I have to throw the toy away.

It's too bad, because he loved it, but parents be warned...this is a cheap an dangerous toy!!!
