WOW I love these! They are indeed very very durable! They are not made of paper. I'm guessing plastic, but they are tough enough that even strong adults can not tear it! No need to laminate! The size is bigger than your normal flash cards. They are 7x7 inches. My son is 2 and autistic and the big vibrant colors really help draw his attention. The only thing I dislike is that since it is plastic (I believe), its quite slippery holding them. I also like that it comes in a durable clear plastic envelope. With my son, I like to keep it visible but out of reach so it creates an opportunity for him to communicate to us that he wants to play with them. I truly recommend these! I wish I would have found these before laminating over 200 flashcards from the dollar store! (Which I don't recommend. They are cartoons and most of them don't resemble real life.)

large in size, not able to be destroyed by a toddler, pictures are clear and great. The number of cards is comprehensive for all fruits/veggies, although probably don't need all of them because some of them my toddler probably won't see in real life any time soon (and we eat a lot of fruits/veggies). I picked out the ones my twins will use right now and put the rest up for later.
