Bought this for one of my 4-yr old twins. He loves it. I like it because it has many levels of play. He can start now by simply pointing at the different pictures and hearing sounds and facts, etc. Later, or now with my help, he can play the games on the same pages (a higher level of skill). He laughs and laughs and really enjoys it.Wednesday, November 27, 2013
Best Pre-K & Kindergarten LeapPad Book: Disney's The Lion King Deals
This book is great, especially if your kids like Lion King. My twin girls like the books with characters they like the best. Nemo is another of their favorites, but it is level 1 (not much harder than this one, though). This book is lots of fun and educational. My girls enjoyed it most and got the most out of it at the age of 4, but at 5 1/2, they still love it. It teaches lots of pre-reading skills and math skills. There is a game where you have to find the animal that starts with a certain letter sound, which is a very important pre-reading skill. There is rhyming, which is also pre-reading. There are games with size comparisons and using process of elimination. Listening skills are used A LOT in this book as well. Some of the games are easier than others, which makes it a great book for lots of ages. I would recommend it for as young as age 3 if you are helping them with it. I think My First Leap Pad is better for younger than that. Of course, it ties in to the movie beautifully. Leap pad books are so versatile -use them for fun, learning games, or just reading along! We haven't purchased any I didn't like, though my kids like the character ones best (Nemo, Pooh, Monsters, Inc, etc...).
