We sent this to our nephew for his birthday. He is a bright and active 3rd grader, so we were looking for something adventurous but not too terribly messy. He is having a great time with it! There are plenty of different things to make and it is keeping him busy.

My 9 year old son got this for Christmas. He had requested a "science set", so this was Santa's interpretation. I was a little scared that it was going to be a flop or that it was not going to be what he was thinking, but he loves it! We were mixing up slime on Christams morning! The directions are very easy to follow. Everything you need is in the kit. There are alternative directions for mixing one of the main ingredients that you use for all the slimes that calls for rubbing alcohol, but other than that, it has it all. Everything is clearly labeled. So far we've made the magnetic slime and the color changing slime and I've been very impressed. Very fun,easy and educational.

This is easily the coolest thing ever. Hours of fun and experimentation and if done correctly and you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, you will yield wonderful results. My son now has several jars of fun slime that is not sticky or runny, as one reviewer claimed. I even googled the ingredients which by the way, you can buy cheap online, so my budding scientist can continue using these recipes again and again. Great product! Great times. Five stars!

Bought this for our 9 year old for Christmas. He's a real science wiz, so he loves it! It was fun for him to see the mixture of the two chemicals thicken into the slime. So far we've made the proto plasmic and the thermo cromatic varieties--the thermo or color changing slime is a bit tricky--it must get quite warm in order to change color, so do not be discouraged if it doesn't change right away. We stuck ours next to the exhaust fan on my laptop, and that was enough to see the color start to change. As a tip, I recommend the second method for creating the guar gum solution, it was quick and easy.
