We bought a carrying case when we got the innotab and it was completely worthless. It only protected the tablet when it was not in use and properly stored. Good luck remembering to do that everytime a 3 year old decides they want to move onto something else.
This case is perfect. The innotab is permantently stored. It is very functional little ones. Works like our IPAD cases.

This definitely has helped with the shock absorption when it hits the floor. I like this because my 2 year old son doesn't have to take it in and out of the carrying case; just open the cover and play. Wish it had a storage for games, but I like to keep them put up any way so probably better in the end that it doesnt'.
