While this is recommended for ages 3-8, it was no challenege at all for my 5 year old and my 3 year old was able to figure everything out pretty simply within a matter of minutes. I would have expected it to be more of a challenge and a longer-lived item, but since it was so easy they haven't bothered with it much since the first day we got it.

It's a nice compact item. The outlines start at a very easy level and progress to pretty difficult for the small number of pieces. Great for travel and affordable enough to make a gift to your child's classroom.

I had a ot of fun watching my son figure these out, but it was fairly easy for him. He figure out all the cards in one sitting. He turns 4 in a month, so I con't see how this would be challenging for an 8-year-old.

This was a great purchase. I work with a lot of children who have difficulties with spatial relations. The children even enjoyed removing the pieces and putting them back into the storage section. I could definitly see the progression of their skills. However, it is a little too easy for an eight year old,

Great toy that my three year old enjoys to play with. I only wish the product had less packaging and more tiles.
