My 18-m old daughter is not a puzzle-kind of girl. While some of her friends can solve simple shape puzzles, she just is not there yet. This peg puzzle is fun and pretty much open ended, so she has fun putting them together without being "correct".

The puzzle is durable and good quality. The blocks seem to be dyed rather than painted, so no chipping paint off of this one. The pegs are very sturdy and no nails or screws visible. It's made in Thailand, and the quality is far better than Chinese counterparts.

The stacking clown is extremely well made. It is solid wood throughout and larger than I thought. I purchased this for my 3-year old daughter and while it does not have flashing lights that immediately commanded her attention, I believe that she will come to appreicate it. The concept is to make different facial expressions and the shapes can be stacked in different ways. After the disappointment of battery operated toys from Disney not working on Christmas morning along with the ridiculous packaging, this toy is a breath of fresh air.
