The journal came across as being handmade (if it wasnt it has fooled me)
The cover of the journal had some effort put into which shows greatly in the detail and in the skull on the front.
Plus this journal really is 8x10 there is no lie there and there a lot of pages crammed into it so as to write many of lifes memories inside
The pages also add to aura of the journal. Meaning that they are not that simple lined paper. They have that appearance of being handmade as well which is different and rather interesting.
The journal is not refilliable as well. I dont know if that if a problem for some people but I like it for that reason.
One disappointment was that the inside covers seemed to be unfinshed and had that rough, unkept and unfinished look. However that isnt going to sink my boat.
Over all the journal exceded my expectations and is a superb work of effort and intellect. I recommend this for every journaler and those who need a one of a kind "notebook" to collect thoughts and word etc.

Durable, good quality book. I am using mine (so far) as a bourbon tasting journal. I am putting pictures of the bottles on pages and then recording my tasting notes beside.The leather cover seems to be a strong leather. The pages are soft but, I imagine, will last. Both of my kids think it looks cool.
If your looking for a unique, fun and quality memory book or journal you'll be happy with this one.
