My wife and I purchased the Leapster2 as a Christmas gift for our son. We have done a good job of steering him clear of video games, thus far, since his brothers seem to fill their time with game playing instead of physical activity. The system offers a nice blend of visual stimulation, dexterity, and learning. I would recommend this product.

My 5 year old son got this for christmas 2010. Not only was he excited because it's sponge bob, but it's so educational for him! It's great for car rides and to take when we know we're going to have to wait for an appointment somewhere. We also have a 1 year old and she will throw this when you tell her she can't have it.....so i can rate the durability of this too....there is not a scratch on it! I would recommend the recharging station. You'll save a lot of $ in the long run.

My grandson loves his leapster. He learns so much from it. It is so subtle that he doesn't realize he is learning!
