I believe that I must have received a box that previously returned, as the resistors are in terrible shape. The leads are all bent and twisted, like someone just balled them up in their hand. Based upon the reviews of all other products sold by Joe Knows Electronics, I do not believe that they had anything to do with this mess.

This has been resolved to my satisfaction, and I will continue to purchase from Joe Knows Electronics in the future.

I'm an Electrical Engineer and I've been looking around for a kit of larger 1% resistors for my experiments and stock. I ordered these kits and I am very impressed.

This is a great value, and it saves me from having to select each value to build my own kit, which I was thinking of doing, but didn't have two hours to select through the values and quantities, and all the electronic order nonsense.

Great buy for the standard decade values, labeled, clean, organized.

I've been an electronic hobbyist for over 40 years, less so in recent years. Along the way, I have amassed quite a collection of parts, including resistors. The problem is that when you need something, it takes too much time to find it. And then, the silver leads are often tarnished requiring cleaning before they can be soldered to. In the end, you may have to go to Radio Shack anyway.

Recently, I've gotten more interested in pursuing my hobby again. When I found this resistor assortment, I decided that it was a good value and would save me a lot of time. The resistors are all sorted by value into separate envelopes and are "1%" er's. In the "old" days, I mostly used "10%" resistors because they were readily available and cheaper. The extra accuracy could be more important for analog applications. Since almost everything I do is digital, I could probably get by with just a few values and less accuracy.

However, there is nothing more frustrating than when I have to stop working on something, no matter what that is, and go hunt for something or go to the store or order. This it at least solves the resistor search problem.

These resistors are great. You get most of the popular sizes and they are packaged in little zip lock bags. I tested a few at random and the tolerance was less than 1%. The problem I have is the color of resistor, which is blue. For me, it's easier to distinguish the color bands on beige resistors. I hope someday all manufacturers print the actual resistance like Vishay.
