This "toy" was actually part of a much larger science project. The project dealt with how the human eye sees color as performed by a computer. The human eye was the baseline and part of the exhibit displayed how the human eye works. This toy, which should actually be called a model, did the job perfectly at a reasonable price.

My son needed this for a science project, and it really brings the innards of the eye "to life" for a young person. The cross-section of the eye really does help explain how the eye works, and the incredible complexity of this organ. Recommended. RJB.
