My daughter isn't so great at fine motor control so I got this for her. She loves building a "space shuttle" (I think the card looks like a barn, but who cares.) She does a great job because she is so motivated. I am concerned the pad will tear someday, but we haven't had it very long so who knows.

The main reason I am writing this review is the price. I put this in my shopping cart while I waited to decide if I wanted it or not. The price fluctuates frequently and by huge amounts. I have seen it cost anywhere from $13+ to over $20. Then it jumps just a short time later. I don't know if this is a temporary issue or not, but you may want to see if the price becomes more favorable in the next few days.

As a Developmental Therapist, I have found this toy to be useful for my clients who struggle with fine motor control. It's a great intermediate toy stabilizing the item strung (peg) with a mobile string. My clients developed such stable eye-hand coordination, they are now able to string loose beads with ease.

Great Grow-with-me Toy.

The paper cards that come with it are not the size of the foam boardas in you cannot lay the cards on top & push the pegs through the paper. But you could use a copier to make your own functional ones.

This is a peg board and lacing toy in one. The combo leads to lots of play & learning activities!

This is a great item for small motor skills. I would recommend this to any one with young children and also for someone who has had a stroke or any other dexterity disability. The item shipped very quickly. We were actually surprised when it came so soon.
