The compressor operation is impressive with all of the pneumatics working perfectly. All cylinders are clear and their workings can easily be explained to a younger audience.
A real great legacy toy that will be used for years.

I bought this for my seven year old for Christmas. It was a bit of an effort to get him to slow down enough to perform the 'easy' experiments that do a great job of demonstrating the mechanics of pneumatic systems, but we got through it and on to some of the more complicated, but very useful, demonstration projects. The instructions are very well written and offer thought provoking suggestions like 'how would you make this demonstration run faster?'. Although 9 or 10 year olds could certainly focus on and learn a lot while having fun with this kit, I think it's even better with some parent involvement. Fischertechnik makes some fantastic products many of their kits that my son now plays with were mine nearly 40 years ago.
