I am pretty happy with this game. My 3 year old son loves Toy Story and it really makes the iXL much more fun.

My son got this for Christmas along with the handheld IXL. I hadn't realized that the game would have to be loaded on the computer and then transfered to the handheld device. On Christmas Day Fisher-Price must have had a very high volume due to children receiving this for Christmas because we couldn't get the site to work and got very frustrated. By the next day everything worked fine, but I felt sorry for him as his siblings were playing with the games they got for Christmas that they could just put in their systems and use and he was asking why his wouldn't work.Best Deals for Fisher Price iXL Learning System Software Toy Story 3
We got the iXL for my 4yr old son about a year ago and he really hasn't shown much interest in it. In a few weeks he's having surgery, so we're getting together some books and toys for the hospital. I thought a few new games for the iXL would be a nice treat, and maybe spark some interest in it (it was a little too pricey to see it go to waste). AND since he's on a HUGE Toy Story kick, this seemed like a good fit. What a disappointment! All it adds is 3 little games. One "find the toys" (based on their silhouettes), one number recognition, and one letter/spelling recognition. The Art Studio, MP3 Player and Photo Viewer are all the same *exact* applications that come pre-installed they just have Toy Story logos slapped on. I am just floored... really... the exact same content wrapped in a Toy Story 'skin'. The MP3 player doesn't add any new songs, it just shows Toy Story Character (faces) going by while the same 4 pre-installed songs play. Same with the photo editor... no new stamps, just Toy Story tunes while you color (if you even keep the volume on).
There's also a story-reader... maybe that will be worth more than I'm expecting. We'll see. But if this is the iXL standard for their games, I'll be returning the others before opening/installing. What a ripoff. Equivalent Nook or Droid apps would cost about 99cents.
