This kit is certainly the most comprehensive set of the three sets available . I would consider this kit informative for student and adult alike to study the physical characteristics of not only varied types of meteorites but also helps to demonstrate some distinguishing features of meteorites . Additionally the kit gives some instruction to physically identify a genuine meteorite from terrestrial material though only lab tests are definitive in the final analysis. Impact rock in the kit provides further identifying features of terrestrial rock formations which are the result of meteorite impacts on earth . In all a very collectible and instructive investment in one package to initiate further study for anyone interested in meteorites

This kit was a huge hit at my grandsons birthday. I was pleased with the size of the meteorite samples. There was also plenty of information included to describe everything in the kit. The jewelers loupe was sufficient to see the chondrules and other identifying marks on all of the samples. The only con in my opinion was the size of the magnets. They were way to small to be around children even with supervision. All in all a very pleasant purchase.
