This tambourine is very sweet, small, and perfect for a child's hands. I bought it to bring with me to karaoke and it fits nicely in my purse. It's plastic and fairly low quality (as far as the sound is concernedit's not very loud), but it's perfect for small children who are taking classes for fun or would make good little gifts for a group of people as party favors. I was disappointed that the cost of shipping was more than the actual cost of the item, but it does what it needs to do for me and I'm glad I bought it.

My 3 & 4-year old preschool music classes love the brightly colored tambourines; they are sized for small hands. However, the very first day I took them out of the package and used them with my students, one of the pins securing the jingle in the plastic tambourine came out and the jingle fell out. I believe I can take a dab of super glue or airplane glue and seal the top of each of the pins that may keep the issue from re-occurring.
