This is a great visual for students to more concretely understand the development of a chick inside an egg. The construction of them is great -they do not open up so easily that they 'fall apart' -more appropriate for an adult to open and share. Definitely a great instructional aid for any classroom or learning environment hatching eggs!

Although this product looks cool and has some educational value, I was a little disappointed with the quality of this toy given the price I paid for it. I bought it for $29-something. What you get for this price are 21 plastic eggs with stickers showing chick development on them. We played with the toy for about 20 minutes and the "illustrations" are already showing signs of wear. The plastic tray is that super flimsy plastic that sometimes separates produce in boxes of produce. This is sitting in a cardboard box. I doubt it will last long. I will see how long it lasts and will update later! I think the company should provide extra "replacement" stickers in the box in case the ones on the eggs get damaged beyond repair. The activity booklet describes how eggs form and show the parts of the egg but I thought it also should have included a description of major developmental milestones to go along with the pictures (like which day particular organs are developed, when feathers start to become visible on the embryo etc.).

The eggs are easy to open and numbered so they stay in order. The chick could be more realistic but by then the real chicks are hatching and those are by far more interestingHonest reviews on Learning Resources Chick Life Cycle Exploration Set
I gave it an "it's okay" rating because I was under the misconception that the little chicks inside the eggs were moulded plastic, as Chick 21 was a complete lift-out.In fact the other 20 were just paper figures on a plain surface.
As an education al tool they are quite good.
