My parents bought this violin for my 9 yr old dughter's birthday. When it arrived there was no packing slip & my parents had deleted their ordering email bc they thought since I have received the package they didnt need it. So when we opened the box on her birthday, the bow was unraveling & the violin wouldn't make any sound. We tried tightening the strings as well. I reached out the seller twice. She replied once with needing the order #. I explained my situation to her & still have not heard back. Needless to say, my daughter has yet to play with the violin. I will now have to take it to a music shop to see if they can tell me what to do. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

My third grader rented a $1000 violin for school. I wanted a "toy" violin for his older brother, thinking the third grader could teach us what he learned at school. The quality of the bow and the violin case are as good as the $1000 one. The bridge was not glued on however, and this comes off too easily. I am not sure yet if it will hold a tune but to look at it, you would have a tough time chosing the $1000 one.
