I thought this game was just going to be finding objects like the books are. And I was fine with that because my daughter loves the "I Spy" books. But this game is so much more then that!
There is the traditional "spying" game, but also drawing a line between objects so that the same amount is on each side of the line. Dividing objects up into groups or lining like objects up. Finding objects that are different or don't belong and matching objects.
There seems to be a lot of levels and rounds in each category too. The box said the game is for 5-9 year olds but my daughter is 4.5 and seems to be at the perfect age for the first level of this game. The games are very easy for her to understand and there is a hint icon in case she needs help. 5 stars from us!

Bought this for our 6 1/2 yr old and she LOVES it. Actually, my 3 yr old loves it too, but it is harder for her. There are 5 different types of games you can play, I believe. I will admit, I did get addicted to 2 of the games on here and sat in the parent pick up line playing on my childs Leappad under my own name...took me a few days to complete all 50 levels of both games...I wish they sold expansion apps in their app center ;)
Anyway, there is an actual picture identificaion "traditional" I Spy game, 50 games total. There is a section where you sort games by similarity, another very addictive one that increasingly gets harder, 50 games in that one too. There is a bug catch section, a drawing line section where there are scattered items and you have to draw a certain number of lines to separate them into the quanities they tell you. This includes money (coins) and math skills for older kids, and there is a match game which my daughter finds boring and is seldom played.
It is made for older kids I believe, but some younger kids will enjoy the I Spy picture part until it gets harder as the levels go up.
Great Game!
