This is a great first book for babies. My son loves grabbing and squeezing the finger puppets. It keeps him entertained on my lap long enough for him to begin to learn the concept of book reading. Even though there are no words in the book, you can talk about the animals and other things you see. It's a nice way to get him started on what I hope will be a love for books.
He will also play with it on the floor by himself, crinkling the crunchy flap, or chewing on the blue leaf, or one of the puppets.
It's a nice toy because it's so interactive. And the colors and animals are cute, too. It seems to be well made, and I like that it's machine washable, too!
