We have several shape sorters in our house -this is one of my toddler's favorites, by far. It has a wider range of shapes for her to sort (most have about 5-6), and I like that the space to put the shapes back into the container is on the bottom, rather than on the top (which defeats the purpose if the child decides to just lift off the top and stuff everything in). She's mastered half of the shapes (rudimentary ones, like circle, square, triangle). My only question is the inclusion of a dog bone (?) shape...guess it's because it's a dog container? Would've liked to see a crescent shape, or a heart. But this sorter definitely keeps her occupied! She's also learned how to stack blocks on top of each other because of playing with the little shapes on their own.
