Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The CyBearPad is an interactive, bilingual magnetic pad designed so that children can utilize the special pen to learn to write letters and words and to draw pictures. The pad uses three AA batteries that are included. The box includes the screened pad, batteries, instructions, and the pen. The magnetic board erases using the slider at the bottom just like one erases an Etch-a-sketch. The age recommendation of 3-6 seems appropriate.
There are four modes of play.
1. Letters: The pad guides children with a flashing light that teaches them how to write upper and lower case letters as well as teaching them pronunciation of each letter in the alphabet.
2: Shapes: By following the lights that appear on the pad, kids learn to draw geometrical shapes that are then animated to music. This facet is wonderful for the imagination.
3. Games: The CyBearPad features three gamesa letter game, a shapes game, and a lost treasure hunt. My grandson has really enjoyed these games.
4. Drawing: Two activities help kids to express their creativity as they draw like an artist. Their images are accompanied by music.
The absolute best aspect of the pad in my opinion is that it is bilingual. The only real negative so far is that the pen keeps disappearing; of course, that isn't the fault of the manufacturer. If the price seems fair to you, I think it serves as a fun, educational tool for young children.My youngest daughter loves this toy. She plays on it during our trips and vacations. It really keeps her entertained and helps her practice her letters, etc.
