The LeapFrog Counting Choo Choo works well and takes a beating, which important for any toy that is designed for small children. It is also inexpensive, which makes it a good value.

When I ordered this toy, I figured it would play its little song when you move it along the ground. That would make sense. However, that is not how it works. You have to push down on the frog to make it play the sounds. This was difficult for my daughter (and now my son) to figure out. I think this toy would be much better if the sounds played when the train's wheels move.

On the other hand, the song is catchy. "1-2-3-4-5 All Aboard the Counting Train, 6-7-8-9-10 Tickets Please."

I rated it 3 stars for fun because it doesn't really hold the kids' attention for long.

The Leapfrog Counting Choo Choo is child friendly because of the durable plastic construction. It is made well and the moving wheels are secured in place so there are no concerns of choking or swallowing parts if your child does decide to use it as a teething device. It is quiet colorful making it easy not only for baby but Mommies to find. As my grandson pushes this colorful choo choo to play with, it is repeating the numbers for him. Everything he wants now is in two's. My grandson is not only learning his numbers but it is encouraging him to say words like: Choo Choo, Whoo Whoo, twain, clickety clack, blue, red, green, white and yellow; so he is learning his colors too. This toy is improving his motor and cognitive skills.

This toy can also be easily cleaned and disinfected with a solution of diluted clorox.

Would I recommend this toy to other Mommies, yes I would.

I ordered this for my 10 month old for Christmas and it was delievered today (3 days early) and I cannot wait to give it to him for Christmas. I just know that he is going to love it!!! It is the perfect size and very fun. :)

I want to buy an electric toy for my 8months old son. I thought it can move by itself. When i received it, I realize it just sings songs and it can not move by itself.

Except that part, the toy is fun. I like it more than my son. He is curious at the first moment, then he is done playing with it. I guess he might like it more when he grows older. I like the song and I sing it to my son. He likes watching me playing with it. In all, it's a fun toy.

I was a little disappointed with the size of this toy. I didnt realize it is a miniature train. It sings some cute songs, but there isnt much else going on. It would be much better if it moved by itself with the touch of a button, but it doesnt.
