We have this and Your Baby Can Read. Our son likes all of the CDs from this collection and pays attention to the DVDs unlike with Your Baby Can Read which fails to capture his attention in some portion of the program.

I purchased these DVDs as an alternative to the Baby Einstein series and was pleasantly surprised to see that they are not only entertaining for my 8 month old, but educational. I love that they include spelling, shapes, colors and numbers, and depict other babies and children having fun. It's great that a narrator with a pleasant voice speaks where appropriate, and in essence "teaches." My little one loves to watch these but usually cannot sit through an entire DVD before he becomes distracted or annoyed, and I predict that after watching the same ones over and over he will begin to tire of them. Regardless, they keep him entertained long enough for me to be able to get a few things done.

My daughter is now 6 months old and I recently found out about Brainy Baby from a coworker. The DVDs immediately grasped my daughters attention and aside from Baby Babble really are the only DVDs that hold he attention for an extended period of time. I can see them working already my daughter has two toys that came in the same set, they both have hearts on them we've seen her trying to put the together!

I think these videos are great! I have a small collection of educational videos that I rotate, and these are watched by my kids with no complaints. They are educational and eye-catching for babies. Recommend!

My son was born 3 months premature. He watches the DVDs and it really gets his attention. The colors and shapes are a great tool. I would recommend this to anyone. And I'm very picky with what i buy.
