When my niece was 14 month, she had no real words. I got this toy for her since this toy exposes babies to first words through realistic photographic images. She likes to play with this bus. This toy has both learning mode and music mode. My niece was attracted by the bright-colored images. Within a week, she started to pick up the word "apple" and "nana". Before long, she has learned all first words offered by this toy. My sister was thrilled.

I bought this toy for my daughter who turned one in October. It's a cute toy. The sounds of taking pictures are interesting and engaging. My daughter pushes it along the floor as she crawls. It's easy for her to maneuver. Sometimes she will sit and hold it and push the buttons to watch the pictures change. Each reel has three pictures. I like the size and the weight of the toy. It's not too heavy. It's a good size for her hands to hold. My son (3 year old) really has no interest in this toy. At first he would take it from her, but now that it's been here for a while, he doesn't want to play with it. I think the age range is very appropriate. It's rather simple and for the price ($), you can't go wrong.

There are lots of toys out there to teach abc's, this one is not engaging, boring and is not worth the money. Go with something more fun and educational. This is purely good as another truck or car, which you can get for less than the price of this toy.
