I bought this for my daughters birthday and it was tossed aside pretty quickly. It looks really neat, I'm a huge Toy Story fan, but the look is about the only good thing about it. The games and activities this toy offers are just not entertaining, especially not as high tech as even the youngest kids are nowadays. It has the qwerty keyboard, but it is not used for much, most of the buttons really seem useless. The screen is just the shades of gray, no color which is really dull. I was greatly disappointed, the best thing the toy does is when you turn it on and the voice of Buzz talks to you.Best Deals for VTech - Toy Story 3 - Buzz Lightyear Learn and Go
My son got this for his 4th birthday this year. He was really excited about it, and quickly started playing with it. He likes the way it fits in his hands. But the lessons are not that challenging. All it does is repeat things over and over again. The graphics are dated, too much Buzz talking, and it's way too loud! There is a volume control, but even at it's lowest, it's pretty loud. My son sometimes gets bored with it after a few minutes because of the lack of challenge.Honest reviews on VTech - Toy Story 3 - Buzz Lightyear Learn and Go
He says: "It is so fun. There is an "on" and "off" button. And it looks like Buzz Lightyear."And his Dad says: it's a shame that the volume control doesn't actually make it quiet even at the lowest setting it's loud. The games are good for my kindergartener, they're letter and word based. It's best for kids who already know the alphabet and are ready for some variations on it. For example: "what letter is missing: _GHI" I also like the QWERTY keyboard on it too many toys have alphabetic key locations, which is just confusing for this generation who use keyboards all the time.
