I purchased 2 different push toys for my son. This one and PlanToys Preschool Walk N Roll. I felt compelled to write a review comparing noise level. This toy is so much more pleasant. The PlanToys version was VERY loud, and I am going to return it.
This toy also has a 2-piece handle so that it can be adjusted as the child grows older.

I bought this for our year-old great grandson. He received many toys and things for his birthday. His mother told me that is favorite toy is the Push Toy. When she vacuums, he walks behind her with the Lawnmower Push Toy with a big smile on his face. This toy was recommended to me by a friend who is also a grandmother. I'm sure he will be outdoors "mowing the lawn" with his Dad this summer. It doesn't make any noise to distract visitors or his mother using her phone.Best Deals for Lawnmower Push Toy
Was deciding between this and the classic lawnmower style push toy with the wooden slats on the outside and balls inside. Followed another reviewer's advice regarding the noise and am very happy I did. This makes enough sound to interest my one-year-old but isn't one of those toys that you end up taking away because you can't stand the racket any more. As far as push toys go, if you have a small house with narrow spaces for the child and toy to negotiate, this is much more practical than some of the larger walker/push toys out there.Honest reviews on Lawnmower Push Toy
My one year old loved this. He pushes and pulls it around the house. It does not make annoying sounds just enough to keep him interested plus no batteries required. He just got it and already has had hours of enjoyment. Many toys today have a "learning" toy label on them but in my opinion they are just noise makers but with this one I can actually see him building his skills. Quality is good and should last.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Lawnmower Push Toy
This really does have a nice sound to it...not loud or obnoxious at all. The rubberized wheels are easy to push and pull on wood floors, carpet and rugs. They are the same durable wheels used on the Haba Walker, which we also have. My 11-month-old likes rolling this around in his play area, and once he is steadier on his feet I am sure he will be pushing it all around the house as well. It makes enough of a sound to please him, but not enough to irritate me...perfect!My only (small) complaint is that the handle is not straight. The holes drilled into the blue cylindrical linking piece on the handle are not aligned properly, so when the top part of the handle is screwed into the lower part, it tilts off to one side. At this stage, it doesn't appear to affect the usage of the toy but I can see that it may drift to one side as my son starts walking and pushing it from behind. Also, the glue that attached the blue cylindrical piece to the lower part of the handle failed during assembly. Both sides of the blue piece are threaded, so reattaching was not a problem. This toy just wasn't as "perfect" as I was expecting out of the box, especially from Hape.
Overall, this lawnmower push toy is heads above the rest. It is on the small side (check the dimensions to make sure it's what you are looking for) but it is a bright and engaging toy for my little one.
