This microscope is wonderful. You never have to make a slide. You just put the object under the eyepiece and adjust...that's it! It is so simple. You can look at anything under this microscope, even three dimensional objects.

I work at an excellent children's museum where children explore with microscopes on a daily basis. This is the only microscope we recommend to parents. It is simple to use and extremely durable.

Other "fancy" microscopes, cost an arm and a leg, break easily and/or are abandoned as soon as the batteries run out. The brock microscope doesn't need batteries and is simple to use so the focus is on the thing being magnified, not fiddling with the controls.

Also, microscopic adventure suggestion:collect some pond water in a bucket and check out all the little organisms in there. Very interesting stuff!
