The walker is made of wood, which is wonderful, and is super solid. In the time we have owned it the walker has only fallen over twice, and that was when big sister was trying to help him out.
Now he is 16 months old. He still plays with it. He Loves It! He can't get it to turn, so mostly he uses it to run up and down the hallway, then calls me for help.
If you are debating a walker, this is a wonderful one to get. :)

I am on a mission to avoid buying any new plastic stuff for our baby. If I have bought any plastic mass manufacture stuff it has been used. Let someone else's kid get those strong fumes and spend big bucks on things that are used for mere months. I purchased this as I thought a push toy would be useful for my daughters development. This is a nice Eco toy. Not a lot of excitement to it but if I am going to buy this kinda of thing new I want wood and quality. I am giving this just 4 stars as it could really use some kind of tension setting for early walkers to keep them from wiping out. We solved this by adding textbooks for weight. If I had known about it I may have skipped on this and bought the Ekorre walker from IKEA instead. Certainly not Eco friendly but it is made of wood also but includes a feature where you can adjust the tension of the casters so that your kid doesn't face plant. The bonus is that Ikea's is half the price of the Hape.
